Boston apartment rents pretty much steady from May into June- Some reports, such as those emanating from Boston Mayor Marty Walsh’s office, show rents sliding—not by a lot, but sliding nonetheless—while other reports show the region basically holding steady as one of the nation’s most expensive apartment markets.

Take the latest Zumper report, a solid snapshot of the market going into June given that the real estate search site culls data from vacant and available units.

It shows the Boston region as the fourth most expensive for renting one-bedroom apartments and the sixth most expensive for renting two-bedrooms. Hardly reassuring ranks if you’re on the hunt.
